I have found a legal MP3 download site called MP3Panda which has loads of PJ's albums on - and it only costs 5 cents a track to download. You have to pay the minimum of $20 up front and it did take a while for the money to appear in my account but I have downloaded loads of tracks now and still have over $15 left.

Hi Archie,
Yes but this doesn't help PJ as none of that money will go to him. So please visit the PJ official site and buy his latest CD, or for that matter many of PJ's CD's.
Glad you're enjoying PJ's music though.

Kind regards.

I already have all of his albums that were released on vinyl and everything on CD currently for sale and CDs that are no longer on sale but I somehow missed getting Enigma on CD and it's no longer available to buy. I could go through the performance of transferring my vinyl Enigma to MP3 but that wouldn't help PJ financially either.

I am sure that everyone on this site is a dedicated PJ fan and would always buy his music if it was available, but if it no longer is, why deprive yourself of it if it can be downloaded?

As for me 'enjoying his music', I have been doing that for the last 45 years.

Sorry Archie, no offence intended. Glad you've always been a PJ fan I likewise have been there from the beginning. Thought you might have been a new fan who didn't know about the merchandise on the site as I haven't seen you on the forum before.

Best wishes

I have commented before - on the post about the tune you'd like played at your funeral! The people posting on this site seem a lot nicer than other sites I have looked at.

Hi Archie,
Nice to hear from you again. There is one particular site that has shot itself in the foot by being so negative about P.J.We all know which one it is & of course it's not the Oz forum.
I love visiting this forum, everyone supports each other & P.J....it's stress free too!!

Hi Guys,

There are a lot of sites on the web where you can download Proby CDs and Proby songs.
I think it's a very good thing as Proby is now available to a much wider public. The youth doesn't buy real discs.
The Panda site has EMI CDs available and certainly is cheap! I assume EMI know about this and get their percentage. If not, it's their problem and they are more than able to sort such things out.
So thanks for telling us Archie!
I think it's great everybody can now buy all the Proby songs digitally instead of having to transfer them from their records to their computer.

Ron - I didn't notice anything negative about PJ on the site that I was thinking about but they were certainly negative about everything else. They were bemoaning the fact that PJ doesn't get enough media coverage so that young people don't get a chance to hear about him (which was true) then one poor chap wrote that he had heard PJ for the first time and that he was brilliant, and they all rounded on him for not having found out about PJ sooner. They also want everyone to hear about him while at the same time, keeping him all to themselves. I posted a message to this effect and the next time I went on I got a message that the forum had been suspended and I have never been able to get in since! It was only because I have a new PC and wondered if my old IP address had been blocked so tried again that I realised how old the 'news' was on the site. I then found this one.

Manja - I am sure if I'd posted the info about the MP3 downloads on the site I used to read for news of PJ they would have made an effigy of me and stuck pins in it - or hunted me down and killed me. I have bought everything I can as far as his vinyl/cds go but some always slip through the cracks , especially in the days before Google and Amazon when you had to actually walk around the record shops and hope they had his music in stock!
