THE NIGHT THAT GLASGOW ROCKED!! I have never before seen a show like Glasgow on Sunday. It was awesome. Vanity Fair were brilliant in the first half as was Mike Pender, such a likeable chap. They all connect with the audience and have a little chat making it all very informal. Second half opened by Vanity Fair who again were terrific and really seem to enjoy what they do (and hasn't Mark the drummer got the deepest voice!!) Sophie's entrance in her sparkling mini dress raised a lot of wolf whistles and a lot of male temperatures! (Love the new fringe Sophie.) But then on came PJ to thunderous applause and from that moment he captured the audience and they were completely under his spell. He chatted, he laughed, the audience chatted back and they all laughed. He was given flowers and even a box of Scottish Shortbread!! His performance was, to me, even better than Glenrothes and I think the appreciative audience helped.I have never seen so many ladies surrounding the stage for one touch of PJ's hand, it was like 1964 all over again. His voice was spot on and his rendering of "Hurt" is just beautiful. Then came finale time with the whole group and then things really hotted up!! To see the whole and I mean the whole audience on their feet, dancing, clapping and singing along was just unbelievable. I never wanted this show to end it was electrifying and I'm sure the entertainers enjoyed it as much as the audience. Thank you to all the team who were just brilliant on the night and thank you to Glasgow you were amazing!!
