May I please ask, who or what is the anonomymous "Proby team"?

Hi The Proby Team,
I'm sure Peter is just curious to know exactly who the P.T. are....I'm guessing,Brian,Hannah,Manja & the site administrator himself.
Of course it's not imperative that we know but it would be nice cos I'm sure we don't want the "them" & "us" syndrome to begin as I know from experience it puts people off.
The four names I've mentioned are the obvious & most deserved names...I hope P.J. is also on his own team.I've no problem by the way with the changeover & it's good to know that personal e-mails can still be sent individually to each person when necessary.

I forgot Margaret in my last posting.I'm assuming she's a member of the Proby Team too.She's at most concerts looking after the merchandising side of things & she's also Tilly's best friend.
Wonder if I forgot anyone else?

As Manja stated in her previous post, to advoid confusion in future:

Posts under "The Proby Team" username are official announcements, usually from Manja & co
Posts from any other username should be treated as personal comments only.
Posts from either Manja or Brian are personal comments and will be under their respective usernames.

Posts from me, "SiteAdmin" are usually forum related

For those of you who dont know me, as well as setting this forum up for Manja, I looked after PJ throughout the Solid Silver & Johnny Cash Tours (as well as the recent Pickering gig). Along with Andy Crump I worked on the 20th Century Hits album (yes my name is on the credits). I call in to see Jim from time to time as I used to live in Evesham - in fact I was showing his new driver round the Winniebago last week.

With a background in TV & music, having worked on various shows such as TOTP along the way and managing artists in Cyprus and Spain, I now do consultancy work for various UK businesses but also work on numerous tours, primarily for PJ's management, Chimes International - I am off tomorrow for 2 weeks as Tour Manager for Engelbert Humperdinck on his UK tour then again in November managing Jack Jones UK / Ireland tour.

I may have some involvement with some of PJ's shows in 2010. Having seen a couple of shows with Dominic Kirwan and Sandy Kelly I know you will all be in for a treat in the Spring and the Autumn shows look like a fantastic line-up so far.

Though I dont get much time to read the forum, I do "Pop in" from time to time. I have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the forum members over the last couple of years but usually when a show is on I am doing a headless chicken impression somewhere backstage so dont get front of house much.

As I said im my previous post the "official" announcements on the forum will be made by "The Proby Team" from now on.

Ron is right. The ProbyTeam can be anybody in the Proby team that makes an official announcement. Official announcement are not personal and shouldn't be signed with a personal name. The names of the members of the team are not important and can change through the times. The person behind the message can vary from a secretary to the manager himself. All that matters is that everybody knows that communications from The Proby Team are official and not personal.
Gary, thanks for your explanation. It's good you've reminded everybody of who you are and what you do, so people can also send you personal messages if they want.

That's what I like about this forum.....people are well mannered & friendly & any & every subject covered is always done so in a positive, nice way.The Australian forum operates in a similar way...everyone getting behind & supporting the one & only P.J.Proby.

Here, here Ron. We keep up to date with what Mr Proby's doing, share stories, make new friends and it's certainly been a lifeline to me these past 3 months.

You are spot on! Everyone on this nice forum supports everyone else & I've never seen an argument or even a disagreement.That's what makes a successful forum & it's just the same on the forum "down under".We are all friends but no-one is more important or bigger than "The Man" himself.
P.J. is a great singer & he has great fans & a wonderful team behind him.Long may that continue.
