We'd like to inform you of this years Heritage Foundation Christmas Ball on Saturday 21st November 2009.

It will be a festal of Fifties and Sixties music. The band will be Mike Berry & The Outlaws, known from their Buddy Holly Tribute in 1961. A lot of guests will make their guest contributions. P.J. Proby will be there as well. Plans are that he will also do a few songs. Of course there will be a three course dinner, dance, reception and lots of wine and good food. More info on the Heritage Foundation website:
http://www.theheritagefoundation.info/

I'm sure that all the fans that went to last year's Christmas Event (combined with the celebration of Proby's 70th birthday) don't want to miss out on this one.
The details are mainly the same:

Heritage Foundation Christmas Ball
Date: Saturday 21st November
Place: Marriot Regents Park Hotel
Reservations through the Heritage Foundation Credit Card Hotline on 01494 714388, daily (including weekends) till 10 PM!
Tickets are £85,- per person.

The Proby Team

I was wondering how the Heritage Christmas Dinner went this year. I wasn't able to go this time but would love to hear all about it. Did anyone take any good photos?

Elaine!

You're quite right in asking! Sorry we didn't do a report yet. It's a pity you couldn't make it.
The night was a huge succes as usual.
The fund raising for the Bomber Command is doing very well and an architect has designed a building for a museum.
A new Heritage guest was Dave Berry who sang a beautiful Dusty Springfield song of which I can't remember the name.
Then P.J. did a few songs, together with his new discovery Ellie D.
They were brilliant. P.J. started with Bob Luman's Fifties Song "Let's Think About Living", accompanied by Mike Read on guitar. Then Ellie and PJ duetted on Butterfly Fly Away, like the duet of Miley Cyrus and her dad. This was followed by a beautiful redention Of Crazier by Ellie, which gave the audience goosebumbs.
Then PJ and Ellie gave the crowd a Christmas song: Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer. Mike Read joined in half way. It was all very succesful and Ellie D. received a huge ovation.
You should all check her out on her MySpace site www.myspace.com/elliedib and listen to her songs!

Maybe Ellie, Carolyn or Sue will write a report and add some photos here?

Thanks for the report & pic from The Heritage Xmas Ball. Ellie D. sounds very talented & I will listen to some of her music asap.
It's great that P.J. is supporting her 100% & who knows one day they may even duet together in the studio & the song(s) come out on CD. In the meantime she should audition for "The X Factor" or "Britain's Got Talent",or perhaps she already has!
All the best to Ellie in her search for fame & fortune.
Ron
P.S. There is a "Junior Eurovision Song Contest". Great Britain does not usually participate as far as I know.......Maybe we should & my nomination for 2010 is Ellie D.

Hi All, I will try to add something to what Manja has already written but not much more to say really except it was a brilliant evening.
PJ and Ellie went down a storm and it was a lovely thing for PJ to do, giving Ellie the chance at such a young age. However, even though David Graham of the Heritage was apprehensive at letting an 11 year old loose on the Heritage audience, Ellie did PJ proud. Their duet was very touching and they really went well together.
All the other acts were good of course and the Dave Berry song was Dusty's "I Think I'm Going Back", Manja.
I must add, as I've said to PJ, I've never heard a 'sexy' version of Rudholph before!!
I think PJ and Ellie duetting on this could have been a Christmas number 1.
I am sure if the two of them released a duet it would be an instant hit. There just seems to be a chemistry. Trouble is they giggle a lot when they're together!!
I have tried to add some photos as well. Hope it's worked!

Hi
This is Ellie D's mum. Just wanted to say what a fantastic night Ellie had at the Heritage Party. She had been looking forward to singing there for weeks and when it finally arrived she loved every minute of it.
We both want to send out a very special thank you to PJ Proby for giving Ellie this opportunity and for being such a lovely gentleman towards me and my family in rehearsals and on the night.
As Mike Read said on the night, not many artistes of such calibre, would spend time helping a young star to find their feet, but PJ has done this for Ellie and we are extremely grateful.
She very much enjoyed the duets - they sounded even better than in rehearsals and the harmonies were just lovely.
I don't have any photos I'm afraid but there are already quite a few posted on here which make a great souvenir of the party.
Again a big thank you, to a true legend.
Carolyn

Many thanks to all who posted a report & photos about the Heritage Xmas Ball.It looked like everyone was indeed having a ball! It's lovely to read & see photos of the event especially for those of us who were not there!
Ellie D. is certainly a talented young lady & a Xmas duet on CD with P.J. is a great idea for December 2010.....in fact it's a must!
Thanks again,
Ron
