PJ was just brilliant last night in Great Yarmouth. The best I have ever seen him. Fantastic repore with a very enthusiastic audience. It was really a dancing gig but the audience were standing down front, listening to every word & note. He was realy funny with some new stories we the band had'nt heard & we have heard quite a few working with him over the past 18 months.
Such a pity it is the last time this year Vanity Fare will work with him.
There were 10 advanced copies of the Back In The Saddle CD. They sold out almost immediately. Pity we did'nt have more.
The actual CD will be on sale in 10-14 days on this web site. There was a slight technical hitch at the manufacturers. We want to ensure the CD is absolutely perfect before we release it.
Thanks for your patience.
Happy Trails Mark Dean Ellen Vanity Fare & No Comebacks

Mark is right it was the best I've heard PJ. He was on top form and the voice was just awesome. He seemed to really enjoy himself up there and the finale was brilliant with all the artistes together. As Mark also says the crowd just made the night as they were so responsive to every artist. Mike D'Abo, Mike Pender, Brian Poole & of course PJ were all fantastic but lets not forget the wonderful Vanity Fare who backed all the artists and were up on that stage all night long. They looked just as relaxed and happy at the end of the gig as they did when they started.
I would personally just like to say a big thank you to them for backing PJ in 2009 as it's been a pleasure to meet you all (especially Bernie )and you have made every show "special".

*Yes the No Comebacks CD is great and well worth the wait folks. :)

What an amazing finale for the OH BOY shows of 2009. The venue was packed and most people crowded onto the dance floor to stand and get as close to the stage as possible. Mike D'Abo, Mike Pender, Brian Poole and Vanity Fare all gave great performances. Vanity Fare were on stage all evening not only playing some of their own hits but backing all the other artistes as well.
PJ was outstanding and so well received by the audience. He was on top form and his great charisma shone out.
Let's hope that we'll see more OH BOY shows again in 2010.

Margaret

Hi Everybody!

Thanks for your reports. I hear from everybody it was absolutely great.
Actually it was the only public Oh Boy Show this year that had Proby on board. So it was the first one and last one of 2009.
I think the show has grown enormously since the 2008 Tour, also because the guys have all worked together on the Proby&Friends Shows, which were all very powerful and really moved the audience. Brian Poole was on two of them and so was Mike Pender. Vanity Fare were on all of them and also on the Proby Show in Hemsby this year. Of course Sophie has been on all the Proby shows. In Burntwood P.J. was on the same bill as Mike d'Abo. I think they're a winning formula all together. The only thing missing was Chris Farlowe, but he was honoured with the finale song Out Of Time.
It would be great if more of these were to follow, but it's not very likely. In Manchester Debra had Proby replaced with Dave Berry.
Still one can always hope!

Brian

Hi The Proby Team
Are there any dates of P.J. shows for next year us fans can make a note of?. Now that Robert Pratt is once more P.J.'s manager we have great expectations for a wonderful Probyfull 2010.I hope it will be!
I have read of one P.J. appearance that takes place at The 60's Weekend at Brean Sands Holiday Park in Somerset. The event covers the dates 12th-15th March. The organisors are the Yesterday Once More company & it is P.J.'s first ever gig for them.
