Hi Everyone!

How about letting everybody know what you think of the new CD from No Comebacks with Special Guest P.J. Proby? Let's have some reviews!!!

Did you already order your copy?
Did you already receive it?
What do you think of it?
What's your favourite song?
etc etc

I've been listening to the CD all afternoon and the more I listen, the more I think it's a perfect combination of very different ingredients. Like a Top Notch Cowboy Stew!
Every song is different. PJs voice shows so many sides it keeps amazing you. The amazing amount of instruments played by Mark Dean Ellen and Johnny Podd is sheer endless!
Don't forget the guest musicians either!
The cowboys have done it again!

It's difficult to choose a favourite song.... I'm still contemplating on that one.

hi Manja,
The new CD is a little cowboy gem & just has to be a part of any Proby fan's record collection. As for a favourite track well....mmmm,it's difficult but I choose "Cool Water".
The backing on the whole CD by the boys is really top notch & the songs where P.J. does not do the vocals are also very good but naturally I have to say I favour P.J.'s tracks!
I hope the sales exceed expectations,it deserves to as I think the songs are the best P.J. has done for ages.
Ron
P.S. I got my copy here in Belgium delivered to my door from the U.K. in 3 days....postal strikes! What postal strikes?

Hi
Since I got my copy of the CD it's been played over and over again. It's great to hear PJ doing something completely different - I'd love to see him performing live with No Comebacks. I'd never heard of them, but will be looking out for them in the future.
I've been trying to decide which is my favourite track, but have got to choose two - "Corrine Corrina" and "South of the Border" - they're both brilliant!

Well many thanks y'all for your positive & favourable reviews.
Yes PJ sings just great on the CD.
NO WAY could I or my pardner Johnny Podd hope to compete. However in recording the record there was no compitition. Jim just said OK guys can I sing these ones and you guys sing those.
Jim sang backing vocals on ours & we backed him on his.
Cooooool !

This sounds like a really cool CD. Can hardly wait for my first one to arrive in the mail and then we can hopefully put in a few more orders for some of the Aussie fans.

This is a fabulous cd - my 2nd favourite of PJs (my first being Legend). I love South of the Border and Cool Water, great songs, sung by a great singer. I also love Mark's yodelling - clever, clever.

Thanks for the compliment on my "yodelling".
As it happens one evening when my partner in No Comebacks Johnny Podd and myself visited PJ we all got into "three part yodelling". It was just hilarious ! sounded pretty good though.
PJ can yodel till "the cows come home".
Perhaps a future project ! ! !
Glad to relate the cd is now also available for downloading on www.nocomebacks.co.uk
There are 2 extra No Comebacks songs there.
1.The Cowboy and the Dancer written by myself & featuring mucho yodello & some "campfire harmonica".
2. Across The Alley From The Alamo. A quirky little tune from the 40's origionally recorded by Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys. Our version features on lead vocals the wonderous.... Johnny Podd.
Happy Trails Mark Dean Ellen

Hi everybody,
I've had the CD for a week now and I think it's great, I've only one complaint P J should be singing on every track. seriously for a guy of seventy his voice is as perfect as it always has been. He simply must do more recording when he's not on the road. Favourite track? it's hard to say, i'll say
South Of The Border, but they're all great.
ALL THE BEST GEORGE.

Received my copy of 'Back in the Saddle Again' this afternoon. What a great selection of songs....a real treat! Takes me back to those Saturdays when we, as kids, would sit in front of the TV, watching Roy Rogers or Gene Autry, battle those 'mean hombres'.
No Comebacks are super and PJ....well.....it's no wonder he's been my favorite singer for the past 45 years! WOW!!!!! His voice never ceases to amaze me!
Many thanks to Margaret for posting the CD so expeditiously!
