Hi Proby Pals,
Something special happens on November the 6th....what was it again?..Ah yes! it's the birthday of the greatest singer on the planet!
I've sent my P.J. request in to Brian Matthew at his BBC "Sound Of The Sixties" radio show.I know it's still more than two weeks before the big day but national radio needs time to plan their programmes.So if you're planning on contacting Brian please do it now. sots@bbc.co.uk is the e-mail address.
If any fellow fans have other radio e-mail addresses for us to contact please print 'em out. Lets have local & national radio stations blasting out P.J.'s music virtually non stop somewhaaaar or other to celebrate his 71st.

I've sent an email to Brian Matthew to thank him for playing PJ yet again. It might be too late for requests though, I always send mine in 6 weeks or so before the due date, but I keep my fingers crossed.

Hi guys & gals,
I've sent in BBC Radio 2 requests to Brian Matthew,Elaine Paige,Ken Bruce & Terry Wogan for a birthday song from P.J.
Also mailed Carl Gresham (The Gresh) at the BCB (Bradford) radio station & he said he will definitely play a P.J.song.....I knew he would 'cos he's a bona fide fan!
Carl also invited me to go on his show one day & talk about P.J. & to play some ultra rare tracks that even P.J. has forgotten about.I will definitely do that.....I've got a good face for radio!!!
Still time to get your birthday requests in folks! Don't just rely on others to do it!

My friends at Coast FM 96.3, Gosford, Australia, wished P.J. a special happy 71st birthday today & played "Somewhere."
They are great P.J. Proby supporters.

I hope you all heard PJ on Sounds of the Sixties the week before his birthday, "I'm Coming Home", in the swap section of his programme. No mention of the birthday though. They do need a few months notice, I always send in 6 months before and follow up with reminders but Brian Matthew always plays quite a bit of PJ so I just make sure I catch the programme every week.

My friend in the States has told me that PJ's birthday was mentioned in their local paper in Daphne, Alabama!
